The apostle Paul’s experience in Athens is so much like our experience in the 21st century. The Athenians not only had no idea who God was...but according to Acts 17:22-23, they had even built an altar “to the unknown God,” and worshipped it. People haven’t changed much since then, have they? Those who say they honor the God of the Bible but claim that He puts a depraved soul in a little child certainly don’t know him. The same goes for the millions who deviate from His Word. They just don’t seem to realize the necessity of really knowing God. What IS God like? What does the Bible say. Host:  Alan Caudle

It seems that more and more people are attending less and less, when it comes to the services of the Lord’s church. Some claim that the only time God requires them to attend is for Sunday morning worship. Others might come for worship services on Sunday morning and Sunday evening, but skip Sunday morning Bible study and Wednesday night services. In fact, some give the excuse that God doesn’t expect them to attend on Wednesday nights because it’s not mentioned in the Bible...and, not only that, any service scheduled at times other than Sunday morning worship is actually unscriptural! What about this? Is it necessary to attend all services of the church? What does the Bible say? Host:  Alan Caudle

The Bible gives us many lessons on the importance of trusting Jesus and following His commands, but there’s one in John 21 that’s especially meaningful as to our personal responsibility in obeying the Lord and obtaining and keeping our salvation. In the passage, Jesus is talking to Peter and teaching him about the importance of following Him, when Peter sees John and asks the Lord, “What shall this man do?” In other words, “What About John?” Why was the Lord’s answer to Peter so important for us today?   The conduct of the wise men, in the story of the birth of Jesus, contains some very important lessons for us today. And I nearly said, “the three wise men,” since the popular idea is that there were only three of them that came to Bethlehem. The fact is, we don’t know how many there were -- it may have been three, or there could have been three hundred! But regardless of how many wise men visited Jesus after He was born, their story can teach us some wonderful lessons. Host:  Alan Caudle

A long time ago, shortly after the beginning of time, God made Adam and Eve. They were our first parents and why we’re here today. We can learn many lessons from the first man and woman, but for now, I want us to deal with only a small part of their story. After they had sinned, God asked them several questions, which apply as much to us today as they did back then. What does the Bible say? Host:  Alan Caudle
