Many years ago, the Jews were departing so far from God and following their own ways, that Jehovah called upon them to stand in the ways and see and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and they should find rest in their souls. But they said, "We will not walk therein." But, you know, there may have never been a time when people needed to seek the old paths and walk in the true way marked out by the Lord more than today. And that's the topic of this episode: "The Only Safe Way."

We hear a lot today about "Holy Ghost Baptism," especially in some of the denominations. It gets attention in a lot of revivals (especially those who feature the practice of what some people call, "speaking in tongues")...and you'll hear some preachers calling for it. So, I thought we might spend some time in this episode discovering what God's Word says about "Holy Ghost Baptism," if it's possible to experience it today, and how it compares with water baptism, as it's commanded in the Bible.

The Bible is filled with figures, parables, and object lessons to help us understand what God has promised to do for us, if we do what He says. A lot of religious people today simply don’t understand God’splan of salvation and have come up with their own ideas as to what we need to do to be saved from sin. So, for today’s episode, I want us to think about how oursalvation is parallel with, or similar to the salvation of Israel from Egyptian bondage, back during Old Testament times. You know, the apostle Paul said, in Romans 15, verse 4, “For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning” -- and I believe the topic of today’s lesson fits that statement perfectly.

There may be no greater question that anyone could be asked than, “Why aren’t you a Christian?” And it’s a question that doesn’t come up just once in our lifetime -- it comes to us in every way and at every turn...and it never loses any of its importance. In Acts 26:28, King Agrippa told the apostle Paul, “Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.” You know, a lot of people today say the same thing...and the same question remains for you or those we love -- “Why are you not a Christian?”

There's an expression that says, "We can't all see alike." But, when it comes to the Bible, nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, when it comes to religion, God commands us to all see (or believe) alike. How is that possible? What does the Bible say?
