From the Old Testament through the New, God tells us that Judgment Day is coming. Eccl. 12:14 warns that He “shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” Hebrews 9:27 says “it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” And those are only some of the passages in the Bible that tell us about a day that will be wonderful for those who are ready for it, and an awful and terrible day for those who aren’t. What will happen and what will it be like? What does the Bible say?

Have you ever thought about the difference in the way preaching was done years ago and how much of it is done that way today? So many people today say they just want positive preaching...and quite a few preachers give them exactly what they want to hear. But is that how God wants it? What does the Bible say?

There’s a popular saying that goes, “Sitting in a church pew doesn’t make you a Christian any more than sitting in a garage makes you a car.” That’s very true. But skipping church services doesn’t make you a good Christian, either. And yet, more and more people are attending less and less. Oh, they might come to worship on Sunday morning, but see no importance in attending Sunday and Wednesday nights. What about that? Is attendance at worship services necessary? What does the Bible say?

In the great commission, Jesus said, "Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel." In carrying out this commission, Paul said, "Woe is unto me if I preach not the gospel." To the church in Galatia, he said that if an angel should preach any other gospel, he would be accursed. He also stated that the gospel is God's power unto salvation to all who believe it. So, with these guides to direct us and prohibitions to protect us, Christians will earnestly contend that the gospel is God's only saving power, that nothing but the gospel must be preached, and that there is no hope for anyone doesn't obey the gospel. But there seems to be trouble with that word, "Go," in Mark 16:15. There's seems to be a lot of zeal for what Jesus commanded...but sometimes, I'm afraid we have trouble with that word, "Go." But, isn't it just as important as being baptized? What does the Bible say?
