The two greatest questions anyone could asked would be, “What must I do to be saved?” and “What must I do to keepsaved?” The religious world offers different answers to those two questions, but, for today’s episode, we’ll focus on the second one -- “What must I do to keep saved?” Host:  Alan Caudle

A lot of people today believe that they can simply pray and be saved, without doing anything else to gain salvation. It’s sometimes called the “Sinner’s Prayer,” which tells people to pray and let Jesus enter their heart in order for them to be saved. Are sinners saved in answer to prayer alone? What does the Bible say? Host:  Alan Caudle

All of us have a duty to perform. We have duties expected of us in everyday life, but there are some duties that are much more significant than those. What are they...and why are they so important? What does the Bible say? Host:  Alan Caudle

In Mark 12:28-34, we have the account of a scribe asking Jesus, “Which is the first commandment of all?” According to Matthew’s account of the same occasion, the purpose of the scribe’s question was to try Jesus. But even though he came with an ulterior motive, Jesus said to him, “Thou art not far from the kingdom of God.” Why did the Lord tell him that and what does it mean? What does the Bible say?     The apostle Paul told the Ephesian Christians, in Eph. 6:11, to “put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” The word, “wiles,” refers to the skill of deception or the ability to deceive or to trick. Paul also called them Satan’s “devices,” over in 2 Cor. 2:11. But whatever word we use, we should inform ourselves and put up our guard against anything that Satan uses to try to win our souls away from God. What does the Bible say? Host:  Alan Caudle

Can we all understand the Bible alike? You'd think so, since God says He expects us to. But some people think that it's impossible. What does the Bible say? Host:  Alan Caudle

Have you ever thought about the difference in the way preaching was done years ago and how much of it is done that way today? So many people today say they just want positive preaching...and quite a few preachers give them exactly what they want to hear. But is that how God wants it? What does the Bible say? Host:  Alan Caudle

What does it mean to be converted? Well, it means to be changed so as to become and be a Christian. Now, if we gave the Bible to someone who was not a Christian, but was honest and sincere, and had no preconceived notions as to what God says about conversion, what conclusion might he or she reach? Host:  Alan Caudle

To die is is sad, but to die in vain is tragic. Jesus died on the cross nearly 2,000 years ago. The question is -- did He die in vain? What does the Bible say? Host:  Alan Caudle

From the Old Testament through the New, God tells us that Judgment Day is coming...a day that will be wonderful for those who are ready for it, and an awful and terrible day for those who aren’t. What will happen on that day and what will it be like? What does the Bible say? Host:  Alan Caudle

All of us encounter forks in the road in life. One person may just stand still and do nothing. Another may flit from road to road. But another person carefully considers which way to go, and then sets his course. Moses chose the right road, by setting himself steadfastly and refusing to go the other way. What can we learn from his decision? What does the Bible say? Host:  Alan Caudle

The book of Acts contains examples of genuine conversions...in other words, examples of people being saved after they heard and obeyed the gospel of Christ. And the case of the Ethiopian Eunuch in Acts Chapter 8 is one of the clearest, simplest examples we have in the Bible of a person becoming a Christian. What did the Eunuch do? What does the Bible say? Host:  Alan Caudle

The Bible has much to say regarding the future judgment, including the fact that it is certain and that it will be final. But in Matthew 25:41-46, the words of our Lord to people on his left hand are among the saddest that anyone could hear. Words like “cursed”, “eternal fire”, and “prepared for the devil and his angels”. Why were those people on the left condemned by Jesus? It may not be for what you think.  Host:  Alan Caudle

The apostle Peter, on more than one occasion, fervently expressed his love for Jesus; however, Peter’s love for the Lord weakened in temptation, and he denied him three times. But after Jesus was resurrected, Peter had the opportunity to confess Him publicly, when the Lord asked him, “Lovest thou me more than these?” What did Jesus mean when he asked that question...and how does it apply to us today? Host:  Alan Caudle

It’s been said that, “Every man is seeking after happiness.” If so, then everyone needs to read the First Psalm. This Old Testament chapter, along with the Beatitudes, will direct your happiness to its highest degree.  Host:  Alan Caudle

Contentment is a great virtue...but it can also be a great vice. So many times, we are content, when we should be discontented, or vice versa. What does the Bible say about this? Host:  Alan Caudle

There’s a popular saying that goes, “Sitting in a church pew doesn’t make you a Christian any more than sitting in a garage makes you a car.” That’s very true. But skipping church services doesn’t make you a good Christian, either. And yet, more and more people are attending less and less. Oh, they might come to worship on Sunday morning, but see no importance in attending Sunday and Wednesday nights. What about that? Is attendance at worship services necessary? What does the Bible say? Host:  Alan Caudle

We have an account in the Bible of many of Jesus’ disciples rejecting His teachings and walking away from Him, claiming that what He had told them was unacceptable. Why would they do that? Some people today do the same thing...and the same question remains. What does the Bible say? Host:  Alan Caudle

Many people misunderstand the truth of God's Word, for various reasons. But everyone CAN understand the truth...and MUST understand it and study it, if they expect to go to heaven. The question is: Do you WANT to know the truth? Host:  Alan Caudle

Many people have a misunderstanding of the Lord's church, even though scriptures tell us that Jesus said He would build HIS church...and that He would build only one. Yet, so many have misconceptions as to what it is and for what it stands. What does the Bible say? Host:  Alan Caudle

Peace is one of the most wonderful words in the English language. It means so much when it is fully understood in the Biblical sense. But how do we obtain it? What does the Bible say? Host:  Alan Caudle

John 11:35 is known as the shortest verse in our English Bible. It simply says, “Jesus wept.” But have you ever wondered why He was weeping? If Jesus was grieved, then God was grieved. Was it just because Lazarus had died, or was it something else? We’ll consider that question in today’s episode and try to find the reasons behind the meaning of John 11:35. Host:  Alan Caudle

Religious error is a problem. Satan is responsible for it and God is not pleased with it. And since the Bible warns us about it, we’re going to spend some time in today’s episode with a study of some of the causes of religious error. Host:  Alan Caudle

There’s a wonderful old song in our hymnals that begins with the following words: “There is a balm in Gilead to make the wounded whole; there is a balm in Gilead to heal the sin-sick soul.” It’s based on a verse from the Bible, found in Jeremiah 8, verse 22, which is as relevant to us today as it was when it was written.   Most things with any value cost something...like our homes and cars. But what about our salvation? Does it cost something? There's a lot of meaning behind that question. What does it cost to be a Christian? What does the Bible say? Host:  Alan Caudle
